I’m short by three projects, now that I posted a couple recipes. I need one Art and two Paper/Vinyl. I have a big Paper project in the planning stages, though, so maybe by the summer… It occurred to me yesterday that for all the journals I made and posted back in the days of the dead place, I haven’t made many since.

I need 2 in Art. I have something that I thought I posted here, but it seems like I posted it on the dead site. But that feels like cheating, so I’ll work on upping my Art game- I have vacation coming up in a week, and just picked up a book on watercolor painting, so I will hopefully have something new soon!

I sewed a ton of purses on the old site, but havent done many on this one. Before they were so easy, now they feel like a huge commitment.

I know! When I joined the old site, that is all I wanted to make! I bet I made 50 Jordy bags! lol
I think I have made probably four or five bags total here.

And we have another Chameleon in our midst! Congratulations to @Bunny1kenobi !
Art:
I have been planning these shadowboxes for a really long time. Well, I finally got around to getting them finished in time for Christmas this year. These feature things about my parents that I love and appreciate about them, as well as some miniatures for funsies.

Thanks for looking!
Made for @Juju in the Santa’s Sack swap. A tiny paint tray and brush:

I really liked the way the little “clasp” turned out.

And bonus “yarn” balls:

Thanks for looking!
I made this for @Juju in the Santa sack swap.

Yes, I actually made a very sturdy little box from scratch. It needed to be custom made because folded up and tucked inside, was this.

…and now for the photo dump!

I also made ridiculously minuscule furniture to go in it. This was definitely the hardest part!

Home & Garden
I made this for my son and DIL as a (very late) Christmas gift.
Now you see what all those little paper bits were for!
I bought a kit from @lindyv321 to make this book nook for my DD for Christmas. (Lights purchased separately.) She is a die hard Pott Head! Lol! I’m pretty pleased with how this turned out.

Thanks for looking!
Thank you! My DIL saw it and so now we will be having a craft day soon so that we can make some together!
Fashion & Wearables
Made this for my Mandalorian-obsessed nephew for Christmas!
I went to Pinners conference and stamped these washers for some of my family members. I turned them into jewelry that will be given away for Christmas.
For my daughter:

I thought this was weird enough to be suitable for Halloween. I wrapped jute with embroidery floss, gluing it down as I went along. Then I formed the cord into the eye shape that you see, and glued it. I used binder clips to hold everything in place until it was dry. Then I glued the lashes to the back, and a pin back on the back as well. The iris is painted, because I realized that a solid white eyeball was looking very weird. Lol!
I sent this to @MightyMitochondria for the Halloween…
Fiber & Textiles
I saw this basket and thought it might be a cute Christmas gift for some of my peeps. Plus, I used stash fabric!!!

And to show off the little deer charm that helps to keep the bag closed;

I’m making slipper socks for Christmas!
This pair went to @Juju in the Santa’s sack swap:
Then I made these for my DIL (yellow) and my MIL (pink).
The gray ones are made with very smooshy blanket yarn that I had in stash, and the blue ones are super soft wool/acrylic. Yay for stash crafting!
Paper & Vinyl
Made for @Juju in the Santa’s Sack swap. This was something I’d never tried before but I learned a lot and really enjoyed it. It will probably be done again.
The front and back covers probably measure in the neighborhood of 2 inches by 2 inches. The cover is also fabric, which I’m quite certain I received from one of you lovely people!
And I stuffed it fully with cute papers, pockets, and embellishments. There’s even room for her to add her own touches: quotes, poems, drawing…
I made this for @mightymitochondria in the teeny Halloweenie swap. This was really fun to make! I found a printable online at ravensblight.com and used it to make this cool piece. I cut it all out by hand and glued all the little bits with love. LOL! It does actually spin, too!
I made these for my STS shop. Believe it or not, they took forever! Even using my cutting machine, it was a long time. So many little fiddly pieces! And I didn’t have pink brads so the noses were gold before I applied the nail polish. I’m happy with how they turned out, though! (The triangles at the top are the insides of the envelope flaps…)

Apparently Santa is getting off easy this year since most everyone appears to be naughty….
Food & Drink
Today was my grandson’s bday party and my daughter asked me to make him a cake that he could smash. I made marshmallow fondant for frosting and it was a pain. I almost gave up but it came out ok in the end I think.
And because he’s adorable and I can’t stop myself:

And here he is enjoying his cake:

The aftermath:
I make this every Christmas. My family would Lynch me if I didn’t: I’ve been told it’s just not Christmas without Orange bread! I cut down on the number a bit this year-only making 12 loaves this time!
As promised, the recipe:

I made this cake for my granddaughter’s birthday! The theme was “Two Wild”, with lots of animals and jungle prints.
Here’s a close up of the little picks- I made these also. They were double sided.

It didn’t look all that special until we cut it open:

…and a gratuitous cutie shot:
