I have completely failed to get any stitching done lately, but I just love looking at everyone’s beautiful work!! You guys are awesome!!
Love this and all the different elements. It is so sweet.
Love the wooden accent!
My planned stitch is book related too!
Here is my entry for this month. The beach is my idea of perfect relaxation. I love the beach so much. I made this little bathing beauty and her changing room.
So cute, and I love how you thought outside of the hoop idea!
Omg I’m dying from the cuteness! Love her little bathing house!
very sweet! The colors are yours and the facial expression is so cute!
That is too cute for words!!
Thanks all! The top of the changing room comes off and can be used as a pencil holder.
Stitching itself is so relaxing and calming! Not entering it because this is a very old project that I just finished and framed for my brother.
It was a kit given to me by maremare a long time ago. I got it all done except for the black outlining because I wasn’t sure how to do it. Well, I just winged it and called it a day…lol. My brother won’t notice!

So sweet.
The outlining looks great! Congrats on calling it done!
You did great! It is very sweet.
It looks great and very relaxing
Outlining was the part I always hated most about cross-stitch, so I totally get you! I really like how you used the outline to make the kitty look fluffy. Good job! He will love it.
I couldn’t figure out how you make a curve when the X’s are in little squares…lol…plus, the holes are too little to get the needle through…it was very frustrating…plus, not sure how you are suppose to count after the x’s are already made, so I just eyeballed it and stabbed away…I prefer @kittykill’s stitch she taught me…stab stitch…my favorite! lol
HA! I feel like that is a reasonable way to relax—stabbing something. ![]()
Also, for my own project this month, I finally learned how to do a proper stem stitch. I don’t know why, but that stitch has just been the bane of my free-hand embroidery existence. Really wanted to use it for an outline on my little mini-hoop, though, and looked it up online one more time, and a little YouTube tutorial popped up. I don’t know why, but the way she showed it made it just suddenly make sense!! This is the first time I have ever used a proper, neat, even, correctly executed stem stitch, and it’s perfect! I am in love. It really does suit curved shapes well, and I will definitely be using it again now that it’s not so confusing.
Stab stitch is the best stitch.
I haven’t attempted the stem stitch, either. It looks like it needs to be perfectly aligned to look right. Can you share the tutorial link?
