Let’s Stitch Along to the End of Time!

Oh, man! It’s almost 4:20 on 4/20. If I had only thought of stitching up a pot leaf!

Hi everyone!

I’ve just caught up on this thread (since late last year) so apologies if you’re getting random likes from way back  I’ve been admiring all of your beautiful embroidery work…too many faves to mention!

I actually have completed 10 LC patches that I was intending on sending to KK for sitewide prizes etc, but I’d be more than happy to send them to you @Abbeeroad if you wanted them to send on to winners of the SAL? Trouble is, they will have to wait until I can access my craft stuff in storage

I’ve actually started working on a smallish cross stitch project that I intended to have ready for St Patrick’s Day, ha! More like 2023 now, but I think I can get there. Is there any chance I can post progress pics in this thread? Or is it purely for responses to the monthly prompts?

It would be awesome of you to donate patches for SAL winners! Whenever they are out of storage is fine. We hope to have monthly prizes ongoing!

And please post progress pics of what you’re stitching! The monthly themes are for inspiration but we don’t discriminate here. Just know that only new stitches that fit the theme are eligible for the monthly drawing.

Awesome!

So here’s what I’m working on at the moment…

That looks lovely so far! I love lettering patterns, I’ve been working on a full-coverage piece and somehow I forgot how SLOW they are by comparison!

Sorry I was really slow to see this and respond to it, but I LOVED the movie The Point! I wanted a dog like Arrow pretty much my entire childhood. So great! I’ve never seen the album cover before but it’s perfect.

Always thrilled to meet a fellow fan!
The album far exceeds the film, imho. It came with a comic book in the record sleeve that had somd pretty weird & wonderful art. @curiousfae made me a couple Point ATCs back in the day, it’s a great theme.

I remember making that ATC!

I will forever be obsessed with Harry Nilsson.

I would love to zoom if I can. Awesome f-bomb stitchery @Magpie

It’s looking like Sat April 30 @ 10:00 AM is in the lead for a stitchalong zoom. I’ll close the poll Monday and make it official!

My April entry!

“Skagit Valley Stormy Spring”

This was a totally for fun, no rules, fooling around, whatever-happens-happens, 100% made from stash, project!

Just north of where I live is the Skagit Valley. Along with being a hugely important area in West Coast bird migration, it’s also home to many, many bulb farms. It’s famous for the tulip festival every spring, but I actually appreciate the earlier daffodils even more. Just beyond the daffodils, when you stand with your back to Puget Sound, are the foothills of Cascade Mountain range. It is a photographer’s paradise - mountains, incredible skies, birds of all kinds - including flocks of thousands & thousands of huge Trumpeter & Tundra Swans.

(Oh, and I am entering this in the destashalong too, fyi, so remove me from prize chances if that breaks a rule!)

I haven’t shared in this thread, but have been in the Snapshot thread.

I think this will take years! I am on page 5 of 38!

Lots and lots of blue!

Are there rules? I’d like to know so I can see how far they stretch before they break.

My own rules. I have some goals I am working on this year.

The only rule in the stitchalong in order to be eligible for the monthly drawing is:

@Camelama - the site wide challenges/contests do state the following:

I don’t want to disqualify you from being eligible to win the site challenge, so I can leave you out of the prize drawing for this month. Thank you for being considerate of the rules and transparent about your entry!

Ahh, it’s always good to run into people who remember The Point. Me and my arrow. The music is what I remember most.
