After making the Fiber & Textile Bear Wall Quilt, I set about making Mug Rugs and an ornament for our other Christmas Spectacular board winners. For the Mug Rugs I did a Quilt as You Go method of crazy quilting. I used virtually every stash of coral and turquoise fabric in my stash. I was also able to use up some strips of black & white stripes that I had made for a Color Stack Quilt Top for @marionberries, but I didn’t end up liking them in the final product, so I swapped them out for other colors. I love them here instead.
One of the winners requested an LC ornament for her tree. I made a little round pillow, then stitched some of the mini pink pompom trim around the edge. I felt like it was lacking texture, so I stitched on some tiny glass beads, and added a scrap of fringe at the bottom. The hanger is embroidery floss that I braided. The bag includes some fun stitching fabric with pink & turquoise scissors.
Food & Drink Board Kitty:
I designed the fabric with permission from @sweets4ever, using the LC Critters, and had it printed by Spoonflower, for the Midwest Meetup in 2023. It’s not available for general purchase, as the designs are copyrighted by sweets & LC.
