@FiredGinkgo - The pottery is beautiful, and I love the touch of the feathers. Everyttime I think of @artsycandice I think of birds. The color is absolutely stunning!

Raku fired using one of my favorites, Oil Slick. It gives a satin finish compared to the copper glazes. This firing produced a lot of copper, which isn’t always the case 
. Oil Slick beautifully highlights the way the fire dances around the ceramics.

After browsing her page, I knew birds had to be included somehow. I spent a lot of time figuring out how to incorporate bird likenesses, considering sculpting a small winged creature to dangle from the luminary. However, I also wanted to include mixed media, so @sweets4ever and I started dismantling earrings, mobiles, decorated candle holders - anything interesting we found - and added them to the lantern. @artsycandice was right about it being a difficult subject to photograph. Its sheer length made it somewhat challenging to capture its beauty.

I’m glad it arrived in one piece! You wrote about wolves but I didn’t know it was because of @Roots . Now I’m extra glad I picked that theme. I hope the lights are all still working, that’s the most fragile part. The battery holders and the led’s are connected by conductive thread, but it’s difficult to make sure they don’t touch anywhere.
I see there is some “ghosting” (the white lines) from the Frixion marker I used. It’s a red pen that’s supposed to disappear after ironing. I didn’t notice it before but sometimes it gets worse over time. As you can see I unpicked some of the original design and improvised a different version later. If you are annoyed by it, it can usually be removed with felt-tip remover. I normally avoid using Frixion pens because they sometimes cause this, but any other transfer methods didn’t show on the dark fabric at all.

It actually wasn’t supposed to be a lightbox! I wanted to make it a shadow box, all in one colour. But different colours and types of paper just didn’t work out. Then, suddenly, it was an enchanted forest full of light instead of shadow.

I was looking through photos on my phone and found this one I had forgotten about. @FiredGinkgo had been carving for hours (hence the jumbo bowl of popcorn nearby) and we wanted to see how it was turning out, so we shoved two strands of fairy lights inside. 
Such a fun photo.
