I finally have a family member who seems to like every animal I have crocheted! So far, she has a whale, a duck and a cat. I saw this free pattern on Hobbii and decided to give it a try.
I followed the pattern as much as I could but then strayed a bit when I made mistakes and also added a few things.
I added the panties because it felt like she was a bit naked without them…and the little tail, because lamb’s have tails! The panties and the shoes are removeable.

I worried about the eyes as well as I read that the cheap ones sold on Amazon came apart easily! I actually glued the parts together and trimmed off the very pointy end as well as wrapped it in some batting.
I am working on the fox now and will have to do the same thing to the eyes and change up any buttons. I really don’t know if my little niece is interested in pulling off buttons, but no sense taking any chances!
When I wrote that buttons are evil for children I was thinking about how I have to basically wrestle my daughter to button buttons to be honest. I don’t buy her any clothes that I have to button.

I also thought it would be hard for mom and child to do a button on such a small lamb! I struggle with buttons as well! I have sewn all my PJ tops down the button placket so I just have to slip them over my head!
