We’re generally not in the going-to-weddings phase. Our peers aren’t getting married or if they are they’re not having weddings, we don’t have kids so there are no kids-childhood-friends getting married, and a lot of our friends don’t have kids to be getting married, either. All that said to explain why I felt so challenged when making a card for my 60-something cousin who is getting married and having a wedding-wedding in November.
We’re unable to attend and their website doesn’t say anything about colors, even though it does say that it is a formal affair. So I decided to go with black/white/silver/gold and the new-ish set of streamers dies seemed alike a celebratory, yet formal vibe.
This lead me to pull out the heat embossing stuff and go for the gold.
