Miso Beans

So I made miso soup a looong time ago, and all you need is a tiny amount of miso for it, but stores where I live only sell miso in this giant container.

So I decided to experiment yesterday, and I must say it actually turned out pretty good!

I just cooked some kidney beans with cut up red and yellow bell peppers, yellow carrot, and spinach. I added some soy sauce, a tiny bit of teriaky sauce, and about a tablespoon of miso, along with some water. I also added some garlic powder. I let it warm up just until the spinach wilted. The beans came from a can, so they were already cooked, and I like my veggies crunchy. I served it with rice and everyone seemed to enjoy it :yum:  :yum:

This looks yummy and healthy…so colorful. I love miso, but I certainly can’t use up those giant containers. I found some packets of miso soup…I bet they would work by adding all the veggies and beans!

Yum! We can get fairly small containers (I think can only get fairly small containers), but even those go a long way so TheMisterT has found quite a few uses for it over time. I even found a recipe for miso chocolate chip cookies a couple years ago!
