Last year I made some Scrappy Zipper Pouches for Teacher Gifts, for my daughter’s preschool teachers. She only did about 7 weeks of school, between turning 3, and the school year ending, so I went with smaller Thank You gifts. This year she did the full school year, and I’m working on quilted tote bags for her full time teachers, but decided to make a few more zipper pouches for the assistants, who sometimes are in the classroom, but usually work in Child Watch. (Her school is at the YMCA, which offers Child Watch while parents work out.)
I actually cut out, and stitched the panels for 5 of these, so hopefully I can dig up the time to assemble the purple, green and teal soon. I love having spare little gifts in my gift cupboard for unexpected events.
The yellow one went to Ada’s teacher’s aid on Friday. The rest are bound for my gift stash, though I think Ada is angling to steal the pink one. She really likes the kitten on it.
These are also a great project to use up small batting scraps. I actually used stash for everything on all these pouches!

I’m so glad to have them done and off my desk! But now my 2.5" squares stash is mostly devoid of color. I’ve just got tons of black, white, and brown squares left.
