My first warp on my (new to me) old floor loom!

I took a weaving class early this year and ended up diving head first down so many rabbit holes and starting so many side quests, one of which was finding a floor loom and getting it in working order.

Without going into too much detail, I managed to find an old neglected loom and get it back into use, finally starting my first warp on it this week.

I’m mostly posting for posterity and evidence of where I’m starting.
I actually measured this warp a couple months ago and it’s been sitting in a bag since then. (The yarn has also been an issue, but we won’t go there —- it was given to me because it was problematic for someone else, haha!)

Anyway, here’s my first palaka pattern!

(Edit to add images that didn’t process right…)

Beautiful, great work.

If I had the room I’d have a floor loom, for now I have a table loom and thinking about getting a second one.
