People say you don’t forget procedural knowledge it just gets filed away. I love this basket and look forward to what you make next. The class sounds fun and it’s great you want to continue.
My grandmother used basket weaving to make some trays decades ago. Today they are among my prized heirlooms. Your basket looks to me like an heirloom-in-waiting for someone special in your life.
Harvest your vines, strip off the leaves & coil them up, let them dry, & then rehydrate just enough to work with. (or you can work with them semi-dry, ie when they’ve done a bunch of their shrinking but are still flexible.) Bark-on gives you a rustic look, or you can strip off the bark and/or split the vines down smaller & scrap the pith out and then get into dyestuffs if you want… extra incentive to do yard work or pull out your local invasives to make craft materials.
