I just realized the item I planned on using for the monthly challenge in August is for a swap (Grab Bag), and it might not make it in time, but it also might. Hmmm. I might have to make something else last minute.
Can you blur the photo and give it a project name that reveals nothing?
I might if it comes down to the wire.
I’ve been working on a blanket for a bit now. My rows are 182 stitches across, and it would usually take me 13-15 minutes to crochet one row. It’s taking me 25 minutes or more to work one row right now, and I feel like I will never be done. I know crochet isn’t a race, but it’s hard when a project doesn’t grow as fast as normal. I want to finish so I can go on to the next thing
I just got my August Battle in under the wire! I might have to swap out some of my planned projects so I can finish all of the prompts in the next month I have a few WIPs (at least 8!) I might be able to finish if I really buckle down. But, a few of the larger projects will have to get bumped.
In July, I was in “recovery mode” from my worst school year ever (plus it was so hot and humid!!) that I lacked motivation for pretty much anything. August was better, but it went by in a flash! I only had 2 weeks before I had to do back to school stuff. However, in spite of being back to school already, I am feeling energized, and think I might actually be able to complete them all!
New prompts will be posted tomorrow. The long US holiday weekend has wiped and the fact that August flew by way too quickly has our ducks out of line.
New prompts are up, hopefully with enough time for those that have the day off to get some crafting in! Sorry about the delay.
Thanks so much for these! I know they are a lot of work and I appreciate all that you do to keep it going and fun!
I have a bunch done but I need to photograph and post. Also, a couple are going in swaps, so there is that wait.
We’re supposed to get 5-10 inches of rain and 60+ mph winds Thursday and Friday from Helene, so I’m setting up the fall season before we maybe lose power or internet for a few days. I’ll catch up on tracking tonight for this season.
Yikes! Stay safe!
Also, I need to get my tush in gear with posting before the end of the season…
Stay safe! That is scary.
Thanks! We got hit by a big storm last night. It knocked out power to a bunch of our county, but we never lost ours. There is a bunch of storm damage in downtown Greenville, and there are still thousands without power.
We’re supposed to get hit by another storm tonight (not related to Helene) with 2-3 inches of rain. That’s on top of the 5-10 inches being called for from Helene Thursday and Friday. It’s a bit soggy.
I’m so bored! Our power went out at 6:30. There’s no estimate for it to be fixed yet. We’re stuck in our apartment because the parking lot access to the road is blocked by a downed oak tree and a fallen power line. Plus there are trees down all along the street. We’ll be lucky if it is back on tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath. And it’s way too hot and dark to craft anything.
Seriously. So. Bored.
Oh noooo! That’s so sucky, Jamie! Hope y’all and the kitties are hanging in there as best as possible. Do you have a way to charge your phones at least? Or is that a ticking clock as well?
I’m going to have to sit in the car to charge it. But I can do that at least.
Oh, that’s actually a brilliant idea that I wouldn’t have thought of, lol! When our power was out due to storms earlier this year, I was deep into podcasts and fanfic, lol. Though at some point even that got soooo boring.
Do you have any books? Kindle hascan app you can read books on your phone, but you can’t buy them on it.
I have my kindle app connected to my library account. The problem is that I need to charge my phone in the car, and very few gas stations are open right now. Not much of anything is open. We’re going to go out and see if we can get gas and some food now. All we have here is crackers and peanut butter, and the high salt content is killing my kidney. The hubby and I are both hot, hangry, and miserable. The cats are hot, too. This sucks.
