Thank YOU, and @Smeddley & @storerboughtcreation, for another amazing, creative season! I had a blast revisiting Book It(/forcing my favorite books on everyone).
Thanks to everyone for their work! It was fun! And I got a lot of projects done, not to mention the incentive to just do something creative on a regular basis!
Also, I was lucky enought to win the Book Fair prize! Thank you @Mountains_and_Clouds! I already got some excellent books! What a treat!
I know thereās always a ton of ways to engage, but can someone clarify for me: should things like pin entries and bingo spots be distinct from monthly battles/prompt, free ranges, etc? Like, a given craft should only count in one of the many spots?
You can definitely double (or triple) dip! A posted item can meet a prompt, cross off a Bingo square, and be counted towards the pin events!
So, if I made a granny square vest for the monthly battle (1970ās, baby!), I could also cross off Yarn on my bingo card, and count it towards the 1970ās pin event (Granny Squares were huge in the 70ās).
Cindy is right on! A project can only fulfill one Prompt (which just means it can only earn points one time), but can usually fulfill multiple Events (because those are just extra fun things that donāt earn points).
If a project is submitted for an Event without a Prompt, it will not earn any points.
Iāve had this answer started in my drafts in forever and kept forgetting to finish it⦠oops!
Thank you so much
This display has multiple levels of meaning for me⦠Itās the letter board that we used on our big RV adventure in 2018-2019 (please note website is now defunct):
Thatās my handsome hubs in the photo, but I usually hide his face when I post on places where heās not a member
When we came back from the trip, it was my āboard of encouragementā to keep writing when I was realy depressed about the trip being over. Hence the āyou can do itā thatās been on that board for several years now, lol.
And then I started collecting the Nerd Games Pins and putting them on it, and it reminds me that I am a creative person, despite what anyone else says, and that I have earned these cute reminders for my hard work. It also reminds me of Lettuce Craft and all the nice things people have said about my creations over the course of my being a member here. You all mean a lot to me
I need to start working on smaller projects. I spent hours designing this blanket (I should post that as it qualifies for a big time just designing alone), and Iāve been working on this blanket off and on for the last three weeks. Iām nearly 2/3 done with the chart portion of the blanket. I still have to do the border as well. It makes it hard to finish crafting things when I do such big projects.
