Project Name: Crullers
Project Link:
Brief Description: I got a whim. That demanded my immediate attention. At 8:00 at night. To make crullers. I don’t know, y’all. I was so excited. They were frying so well. I took a bite and realized I forgot to put the vanilla in the dough. Because at that point it was 9:00 at night. On a weekday. I tried to help them with glaze, but they were just not very good. Somehow both sour and eggy. I know what to do next time, though! They “grew” into something else - puffing while frying, and also ended brown.

Prompt: Week 2 - Into the Mystic
Team: Don’t Stop Beleafing
Project Name: Memorial flag
Project Link:
Brief Description: Some of you may remember from the past many years that I am a massive One Direction fan. One of the members, Liam, died last week. I have been more impacted by it than I would have expected. There was a local memorial that I attended. There were probably about 200 people throughout the few hours, which was really nice. I designed and made the flag in the photo, brought two dozen roses, and a candle in a tin that I had previously made. I was in a haze and didn’t manage to get better photos. The lyrics to Into the Mystic feel like a song about loss and survival. His soul and spirit are flying now.
