I loved the “pumpkin headed creatures or skeletons” theme on my partner’s list. His head is paper clay I sculpted and painted, and body is fabric covered cardstock connected with fasteners so he can move around. I did some shading on the body pieces and background with ink and colored pencils.
The main theme for this one was “gnarly, spooky trees.” My partner also had “pumpkins” and “ravens” on her theme list. I did the background with texture pastes and inks. The tree is sculpted, painted, and sealed tin foil (so it can be repositioned), and the pumpkins and raven are paper clay I sculpted and painted.
This one is a combo of the themes “fabric ghosts” and “pastel kawaii halloween.” I made it as a kind of partner piece to one I made last year. I decided to make one of the ghosties who moved in! I embroidered the face and stitched on the little patch.

It was 100% an experiment and unplanned surprise. I was just going to use the tin foil as an armature for paperclay, but as I formed it was like…wait, this looks cool. Can I paint it? Yes?! Will it seal? Yes?!
