Thanks! I cut a vinyl stencil then we painted over it. I do like how it came out.

Prompt: Research Project
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Cardboard and Duct Tape Knight Armor
Project Link: Cardboard and Duct Tape Knight Armor - Halloween Spooktacular Entry 2026
Brief Description: I made these knight costumes for my husband and I to wear on Halloween. They are entirely made of cardboard and duct tape. They were much harder to make than I anticipated and took well over 20 hours.

Awesome! The helms, in particular, are quite amazing.

Event: Gift Bag Event

Prompt: Zap
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Denim Headband Flower
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: My daughter’s school had a “denim” day for spirit week. She is not a fan of denim clothing, and therefore has very little of it. So I made her this denim flower for her headband. I just cut a strip of some old holey jeans with pinking shears and then sewed it into a flower shape with a gather stitch. Quick and easy and fit the brief. I gifted it to my daughter immediately, and she happily wore it to school.

Event: Pie Event

Prompt: Week 1 (inspired by one of my favorite Thanksgiving treats, pumpkin pie!)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Pumpkin Pie
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: Pumpkin Pie is yummy. It should not be reserved for Thanksgiving. So I made one to celebrate the start of November. The crust did not go to plan, it is super crunchy ( I was distracted while making it), but it is still delicious.

Event: Pie Event

Prompt: October Simmer Pots (smells delightful, is made of a bunch of ingredients, requires heat)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Apple Pie Scones
Project Link: Apple Pie Scones
Brief Description: Scones are one of my favorite breakfasts, and these remind me of apple pie with apples inside, cinnamon sugar glaze and a scone “crust”.

Event: Gift Bag Event

Prompt: November Feast (made multiple copies for several people, and is consumable)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Pumpkin Bread
Project Link: Pumpkin Bread
Brief Description: New neighbors moved in across the street and I wanted to welcome them to the neighborhood, so I made them a mini loaf of pumpkin bread. I made another small loaf for my dad, and a big one for our family to eat for breakfast this week while I was at it.

Event: Pie Event

Prompt: October Snuggles (blobular, and for both myself and my son to share)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Vegan Pizza Pie
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: My son and I can no longer have dairy, so we don’t get pizza very often. I decided to make us a treat of a vegan pizza to share. I made the crust with our sourdough starter (named Bob), and made the sauce myself as well. I know pineapple is a controversial pizza topping choice, but I am in the love it camp. I forgot to take a picture when it was fresh, but remembered in the left-overs stage. I typically like vegan pizza better as leftovers anyways, the “cheese” is a strange gloopy mess when warm, so I prefer the texture cold.

Event: Gift Bag Event

Prompt: November Family (made with and for my daughter, multiple mediums, and the crown is circular)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Bone Crown and Staff
Project Link: Bone Crown and Staff
Brief Description: My daughter wanted a bone crown and staff for her necromancer costume. We 3D printed the skull and crown together, then I painted them with paints for tabletop miniatures to make them look more realistic. She mounted the skull to a stick from our yard and added an LED eye and glitter glue tendrils.
Project Photo(s):

Prompt: October Puzzles (used cutting implements and figured out on my own)
Team: Gourd of the Rings
Project Name: Eyeball Jack-o-Lantern
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: It cooler in my head, but I did my best to carve an eyeball jack-o-lantern for Halloween. There are veins carved in all around the outside. It would probably look better on a white pumpkin, and would definitely look better with the pupil left as solid pumpkin, but at least I had fun making it.

Love all your projects! Pumpkin pie, apple cinnamon scones, and pumpkin bread all gave me ideas . I’ll bet that costume was amazing with those props!
