What is it about this month? But, I didn’t even get last month’s printed out (or even the month before, now that I think about it) :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Work & life are kicking my butt, too! We’re currently managing my mom’s life right now, and hopefully soon I will ya little more time to manage my own

As always, thanks for so generously sharing the tracking pages!

Prompt: June, Y2K; Pin event, 1990s
Team: Super Groovy
Project Name: Pocky
Project Link:
Brief Description:

I lived in Japan from 1996 until just before Y2K. That’s where I discovered Pocky! (Pocky was not introduced to the U.S. until 2003.)

I found a recipe online for homemade Pocky. I had trouble because, in spite of weighing ingredients, etc, the dough was too dry. I pretty much doubled the liquid and it was still dry.

So I made one batch and dipped the sticks in melted chocolate. Some of them broke because they were still too crumbly. I put them in the freezer to set. I decided to just make small cookies with the remaining dough. I iced them with a concoction consisting of nonfat Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, and dried strawberry powder.

I will not be seen on The Great British Baking Show anytime soon, but I may gain a little weight

So, not an unmitigated disaster :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Pin event evidence:

The only photo of me in Japan that is not packed away–with a Japanese friend at the river.
