Well Frickety Frack… It is sideways…. But then records are made to spin so what can I expect?
This is the latest thing I’ve made. There are actually several different faces and two different sizes. The small ones include the insert (IFYKYK). It is hilarious to me to watch people interact with these. When I tell the young people they are too young to know what it is they usually give me a very indignant look and inform me that they collect vinyl! The olds smile. My vinyl collecting gen Z spud actually said he liked this series. (He is usually too cool to comment on my plushies.)
There are stitched lines in the black minky. It is just difficult to get them to show up in the image. In the newer versions, I’ve used a slightly different color of thread which helps make them stand out. I also display them in an old record case which also makes me smile. Sometimes the display is dictated by the characters. Sometimes the display drives the creation of the character.
Vinyl. Martini olives. Looks like I’m going mid century. What other iconic thing should I try to make?
