I found a Vintage magazine on how to make freaky pantyhose dolls and this was one of the projects. I couldn’t resist. I had to make these gross old people dolls. Sorry not sorry?

I hope you enjoyed? :joy: I made them pretty gross. Lol. I made them progressively larger with each one I made, though not on purpose. Lol. So the lady is way bigger than the first guy who I guess is a little person. Or she’s a giant. I dunno.

Hilarious!

A few years ago I made some small dolls out of my old work stockings and they were just so weird and creepy to me! I feel the same about those apple doll faces :laughing:

My in-laws kept my husband’s apple head dolls and now they are the creepiest things ever. They’re all black and twisted and gross… and they’re just staring at me from the China cabinet. :flushed_face:

My great grandma was apparently messing with these pantyhose dolls as well. I remember being disturbed at the idea of “pickled people."

Hopping back in here to wake up this thread because I’m wondering… did this magazine you found have any instructions for just a butt?

I had a weird memory pop into my head yesterday, of a bathroom in the basement of my Aunt’s house that had a muffin tin hanging on the door full of butts. In my memory, they sure look like they’re likely old nylons (and there was probably a pun about “buns” or something, as was the style at the time).

I figured it was probably a craft project from back then, but I can’t find any evidence of something similar AT ALL anywhere on the internet. I don’t want to start buying old
books and magazines searching for it, because I’m sure I could figure out how to make the thing if I wanted to. I just want validation, lol!

(Also, I’m pretty sure they had dimples, which is probably what I thought was funny when I was around 5-6 years old :upside_down_face:)
