Came up with a fun plan for @marionberries holidayized plant ornament. I’m about 1/2 done and pretty excited about it.
I recieved from our awesome swap organizer @Lynx! These are loteria(Mexican bingo) inspired as well as Christmas inspired. Too cute! Thank you Laura!
Oh, those are cute! Are they bottle caps?
I had a big amazon delivery and wasn’t even paying attention… my ornament from @marionberries arrived today! Cuteness overload! I had to get some close ups of his mustache and his butt buttons for his union suit! Thank you Carol!
Yes! Thank you!
Cute gnome!
Yes, cute! How long is he?
La loteria! It has been years! Cute
I suddenly yelled “butt buttons” aloud to the whole family was startled and then confused as to why I would be excited about buttons shaped like human buttocks, cats they could understand. Finally corrected the assumptions after much giggling.
Also, I love the union suit gnome.
Wow, both the loteria ornaments and the gnome are so cute!!! I am seriously loving the huge variety of styles and themes in this swap!
So much happy mail today! I received TWO gorgeous ornaments that feel so very representative of my interests (especially this year)!
First, here’s my D&D ornament from @endymion:
A d20 with “Merry Critmas!” It’s wonderful! It holds the shape absolutely perfectly, and is so very festive and fun! I dare say this gift was a critical hit! XD
Next, here’s a crafting themed one from @AudiobookLover:
Hooked on Crochet! It’s so cute! It’s hard to tell but the whole back is sparkly and snow-like, and the tiny balls of yarn can roll around in there when you move it. It’s darling!
To be honest, most of my free time this year has been taken up either role-playing with friends online or crocheting (often simultaneously), so these are absolutely perfect! Thanks, ladies!
Oh my goodness! So many cute ornaments! I adore the crochet ornament.
Well I finally broke down and made another claim. In my defense I have applied a 3rd layer of glue to @lifeinpigtails ornament so it’s 75% done. Probably. I may need more glue. Alllll the glue.
I couldn’t resist the chance to make a cute animal in winter gear ornament for @AudiobookLover.
Wow! I can imagine sewing a d20. Very fun!
All those tiny balls of yarn! What a cute crochet ornament
I adore the hooked on crochet ball. @AudiobookLover made me a similar Doctor Who themed one in a swap years ago and it remains a favorite! The crochet hook ties it all together!
That d20 die is phenomenal! Such skill in this group!
I, too, am loving all the styles. I have been trying to make my claims in different styles, too. @marionberries ornament is complete and will be mailed today or tomorrow.
I currently have 4 messages in my inbox to read and update later. I have a busy day, so if I don’t get to claim updates tonight, it’ll be tomorrow night.
Wow! I love that “Hooked on Crochet” ornament. The teeny crochet threads are so cute!
What an influx of ornaments!
@roler, you really brought that character to life. There’s so much expression on her face!
@Lynx, those Loteria ornaments are fun and festive. They look like mini medals!
@marionberries, your little gnome is so beardy and gnomey. I love the addition of the backside, I never would’ve guessed it was hiding back there.
@endymion, you sewed together a 20 sided dice!? It looks wonderful and so iconic of D&D!
That’s where I am and how I feel about my ornaments for marionberries and lynx2lancer. I too am using a variety of styles and loving them all!
I had a long day today, but came home to two wonderful ornaments!
First, an awesome 2020 succs ornament from @lifeinpigtails! I love succulents, so this was a fun play on words!
Next, a “virtual learner” ornament from my son from @Tapestry . This looks like it was painstakingly etched by hand! This is so shiny that it is hard to photograph. Luckily, my photoshop helped me brighten it up a bit and show the detail! Thanks for saying you’d like to make one for my daughter. If you don’t get the chance to claim me again, we can do a 1:1 trade if you’d like! This will make an excellent ornament in his collection. Thanks so much.
PS. On the back she etched his name.
Normally I’d ask not to reserve who claims you next, but I am making an exception because tapestry really wants the opportunity to make a matching remote learner ornament for my daughter. With as quick as claiming has gone in this swap and how close it is to the end of the month, if you could please allow her the chance to make that claim, that would be great. Thanks!
It was a wet and dreary day, but happily my package from @marionberries stayed dry.
She chose my holly/stars theme and have both!
I’ve hung it with my frog collection as the colors seem to work well together. I have no idea how you can get all the glued jute to stay in form so nicely, it is beautifully elegant. Thank you so much for adding to my stars!
Hahaha, that “2020 succs” ornament is so clever and cute! The etched virtual learner one is so shiny and special! And I love the organic feel of that star.
I, too, received a wonderful ornament today! This was from @marionberries, who chose my theme of “colorful or quirky snowmen.” She explained that this chilly lady was too picky to be very colorful, but instead insisted on a fur-lined coat, and I am certainly not one to argue with such a stylish choice! Look at this darling!
Thank you SO much, @marionberries! Also, is the body made of a spool? Whatever it is, it’s the perfect size and shape!
Wow! So many new ornies to admire!
“2020 Succs” made me chuckle. Very cute, too!
I’ve always wanted to learn more about metalworking, so I appreciate the etched homage to distance learning.
I wish I could see the star ornament up close. It sounds like a very interesting technique.
The snowman story is fun!
