LOL, you guys are so funny!

I should have the messages and claims from the last couple days up to date.

My life is pretty busy, so sorry to you all who are waiting for me to claim. I more than likely will hold off until the swap closes and get the last claim to end it.

@Camelama sent me a beautiful European Robin for my chubby bird theme! Look at the rich colors and tiny holly embroidery! It went straight to my friend wreath. Such a cheerful little tweeter!

Very cute ornament! Love the beading; I’ve a weakness for sparkle. And the ephemera is stellar!

EDITED to add that I just received an amazing 3-D printed ornament from @steiconi!

I had a theme of churches, and the ornament she sent is a rendition of a place that is close to where she lives. It is highlighted with copper leafing, and a matching copper cord. It’s a small wonder, and it’s going to look great on my tree. Thanks much!

My son is gleefully bragging that he has FOUR ornaments from this year and his sister has none. Little butt. (He has 2 Zelda, and 2 lego ornaments so far). Who knew ornament swaps would become a competitive sport at our house?

Don’t worry, she’s cleaning up in the STS2023 swap as half my claims have been for her. (The little bee keychain, bat ornament, a knit crop top, cat cozy for her cat).

What am I doing wrong?

Whether I put ornaments in a box or an envelope, it costs nearly the same to mail them, $5.50-$6 in the US.

Others talk about envelopes being cheaper, why do they always charge me for a parcel?

Postal policies apparently changed in July. Before that, I could mail a First Class bubble mailer for usually about $2-3. They no longer offer First Class for anything besides sheets of paper. Now, everything has to go Ground, and it’s always at least $5-6.

If you make something absolutely flat, like a cardboard ornament, you might be able to get away with mailing it as a regular card/letter.
