So you’re saying they aren’t singling me out for extra postage?
Thanks!
I’ve sent all but one in a bubble mailer (including STS) and paying that, too. Definitely not you. It stinks. Thanks for tge postal explanation @endymion
If it is over half an inch thick and not flat, or has bubble wrap, they will charge for a parcel with the new Ground Advantage. I use PayPal’s postal online service which gives a discount and no need to go to the PO. I can do most small packages in the USA for about $4.
I’m just celebrating a little joy, in that our lobby machines finally have sticky labels, and can do names & sender’s address now! It used to be such a hassle, when all it printed was the recipient’s address on a piece of paper. And ugh, making sure i had the right pen, and tape for the labels, and packages and addresses & names … I kind of shrugged off the price change because I was so happy with fully addressed printed sticky labels! LOL
I use my home printer to print out the labels. I do it on regular paper and get the free clear sticky label inserts delivered to my house. I haven’t been to the post office in a long while. Ours is so understaffed with people that know nothing. They have no clue on pricing of international, etc.
Is this a subscription service or can anyone with paypal do this?
Anyone…they just use your Paypal account to charge for the postage…
Just click and sign in with your paypal info…
Click orders at the upper right and start your label…it walks you through sizes, weight, even customs…you can select from USPS or UPS and sometimes DHL…
The only drawback is that it doesn’t save your addresses like the USPS site does…it does keep a list of all your labels and you do have the option to void if you change your mind or make a mistake…you can also paste in an address.
I shipped out a 1 pound 2 oz package for $6.70 just the other day.
Great info! So, then the PO picks up at home?
Yes…just pop it in your mailbox with the flag up…or if it is too big, I put it in a plastic bag and hang it from the flag…
I received yesterday from @MollyGoRound, she asked for my favourite colours, which are hot pink and lime green, and created this quilted ornament …
She also included some paper extras , thanks Molly.
Oh i love that!
You gotta know I love that hexie ornament; I claimed one from @MollyGoRound’s STS shop!
