Our hedgie can definitely nip if he’s in the mood or sees you as the non-preferred human.
I am sure your ornament is amazing and you are just being overly critical of it because it is yours. We all do that to our own work.
100% on non-prefered human! Pipkin is my baby and he’s good with me but a prickly sea urchin with everyone else. Never a biter though. Rocket is actually super social and easy to handle but he will bite if he’s mad and he’s gleeful about pooping on whoever holds him. Like it’s his mission in life. You can guess which hedgie is my favorite .
Pics for funsies.
Pipkin
Rocket
What a cutie pie!
OMG! That little face is adorable.
I don’t think I’ve ever held a hedgehog. Are they pokey?
Can’t wait to see horror hedgie. I bet he’s awesome.
Their spikes are poky if they’re feeling salty, but not bad when they have their spikes down. Their bellies are soft and furry. Pipkin lets me rub his cheek which is lovely. I definitely recommend petting a hedgehog at least once in your life. They’re delightful, funny creatures.
There are a few ornaments I’m looking forward to seeing and horror hedgie and husband’s evil cat are chief among them! Though I suppose, since it was a request for a portrait of said cat, the evilness might not be so evident.
If the cat has tiny horns and a pitchfork it would be entirely accurate .
I finished my ornaments for @Kwality570 & @Audiobooklover today so I’ll be mailing them in the morning! Though I’ll have to wake up early to get pics as I ran out of time for that today.
Just claimed @MightyMitochondria! If I can snag @Gozer next I’ll have managed to make something for everyone.
Hint taken. Lol. I just claimed you @Tapestry . Good luck!
Heh, thank you! Mission accomplished! Now to decide what to make.
I recieved from @MightyMitochondria and contrary to rumors this NOT a horror hedgehog. Look at this cutie!
Thank you, Rose!
@Tapestry , I am so glad you like it. I still contend that it looks like Bob Ross with freaky eyes.
A Bob Ross ornament would be fun, but I’m not seeing the likeness. The brown would need to be way, way more bushy and wild!
It’d be funny to have an ornament collection of oddball and classic era celebrities. Like Bob Ross, Richard Simmons, etc.
@MightyMitochondria, your hedgehog doesn’t look creepy, he looks excited . I like the addition of the holly berries!
Omg! He is a cutie. The holly is the perfect festive touch.
I finished @gozer’s ornament this weekend. My daughter says it’s cute but my husband and son both made faces. Argh.
I hate that kind of conundrum! What was your initalthought when you saw the finished product? I think if you liked it, then you should send it!
1 of my 3 ornaments is 100% complete .
1 is 85-87% complete (depending on if I decide to add an additional element or not) .
And the third, well the third makes me want to cry. It was 99% finished and as I was completing the final step, a problem occurred, which has caused me to restart on an all new ornament .
@MightyMitochondria - That is NOT a horror Hedgehog. Its adorable and very friendly looking!
Oof on ornament #3. I hate that!
I really liked the ornament I made until my husband said it was meh. Now I’m afraid it’s terrible and I should disassemble it for parts . I’m giving myself another day to sit and stare at it before I do anything.
Lately I feel like I’m just missing the mark by a breath on everything I make. Like it’s ok, but not great. And anything less than great is not acceptable.
