These spreads are gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing more :smile_cat:

Thanks! I do like getting ideas from videos and prompts, but what really inspires my crafty mojo is sharing crafty time with all of you creative friends (both in zoom sessions and in the threads). I hope you get lots of art time, now you’ve done such great stuff with your house updates.

I agree having time set aside to craft is also important and being inspired by friends!

Having time set aside is huge for me, else I’m very easily distracted by all the other things I could be doing.

Inspired by @Abbeeroad, I got back into my Word Play class tonight and did this page in my whatever journal. (The base color was just a brayer-off from a gel print session.)

I’ll try to get a better photo tomorrow. I legit did this on the couch, and the phone blocks the light.

Love the fall inspiration @Abbeeroad and the funky colors are right in my wheel house @megwell !

I also signed up for the mushroom class.

A couple more art journal pages pulling from the class

This one :point_up_2:t2: became more about process than product, but from a macro perspective I really like it.

I’d actually already stuck the flower down on this short page with no plan just to get it out of the way .

I may be watching too many Alisa Burke videos, though. I started The Leftovers Journal last night and then had a dream about her classes…

I love her classes…especially when you start mixing them like you did the words and flowers…love it!

Sketchbook Revival starts today. And because I am a bonehead, I also signed up for Tamara LaPorte’s A Year of Light Taster sessions. This ends tomorrow and to be honest, I only watched a few. But hopefully the Sketchbook lessons are pithier…

Anyone up for an art journaling zoom on Sunday Sept 29 at 3pm Eastern time?

Supplies:

  • paper scraps / collage papers - for a fall / forest-y background
  • adhesive
  • watercolors, watered down acrylics, or acrylic inks
  • paint brushes
  • white acrylic for splatters
  • mushrooms - she used stamps and painted them. If you don’t have mushroom stamps you could print clip art or draw some
  • background stamps (she used stars)
  • scissors
  • sentiment if you like
  • Count me in
  • Maybe next time

thanks for the reminder - I forgot all about it.
I also signed up for the month teaser of collage fodder that starts soon. Not sure where I think I will get all this crafting time!

I will be in Legoland this weekend! We are taking the girls as an early b-day gift. It’s possible I will be back in time, but I’m just not sure. I’ll def try to do the page either way.

What class is this? The Fodder Challenge? Or something else?

Yeah Fodder Challenge. I was drawing a blank on the name.

I’d love to join, but I’m travelling visiting family. This looks like fun page  hopefully I can give it a try on my own.

The Happy Watercolor Florals class today in Sketchbook Revival was really good! I am looking forward to trying out some new techniques later.

I really liked the abstract exploration by Lynissa Hayes.

I JUST finished that one 30 seconds ago. It was really fun!

@geekgirl - Are you okay? Watching the weather news….
