I’m making a stack of random papers - Kraft packing paper, book text, some vintage things, and every kind of white paper in my house. Then when taking a break from cleaning/organizing, I use the collection of black pens to make marks. I need to look at my Pinterest & Instagram saved posts to try some new marks.
The latest in my explorations into arty mess-making!
There’s a lot of purpley / pinkiness coming up because I put down too much paint for what I needed and well - waste not, want not! (Probably not anytime too soon, some things are not speaking to me!)
They were the last addition that kinda made me think - Ok, I’m done here. Before that, there has been a lot of pondering about what to do to make it… well anything.
There is another piece that is in timeout because at the moment, i’s just “meh”
These are generally pieces that usually start during long, listening only work meetings!! (Shhh, my laptop & mouse keep getting paint over them…), so they have no specific goal.
So that first set was 2”x2” squares. The 2 rules were use light, medium, dark values of neutrals and take no more than 2 min per square.
This set is “white” neutrals. 3”x5” rectangles. Different values of whites/ivories. 4 pieces of paper, rectangle shapes only,
Then add an accent which was the white circle fabric paper.
Don’t like this one as much but it’s an exercise.
I also need a better quality notebook. My better notebooks are all too small to get all my collages on the same page.
