you are doing great!
I’m losing a bit of momentum & am skipping around somewhat…I’m on the corner lesson, but I cannot get myself started on it! Maybe tomorrow will be the day
and I’m definitely going to copy some of your fillers – thx for the inspiration!
I know some of you guys have watched the fodder challenge videos, one of the artists featured had a great ephemera journal. Anyone recognise it, or know of any links to how it (or something similar) was made

Do you mean the leather one? I think it is a regular journal that she just stuffed with things…lol
No it’s not that one. It’s in the Tiffany Sharpe video. I was curious about the binding she used, had a look on YouTube and her website, but she doesn’t go into any detail. It looks like she’s stitched plastic pockets onto card, maybe double pages and then bound it in. I’ll have to do some experiments!!

Your mileage may vary, but…tonight my local Michaels had tons of Golden’s clear tar medium, ground pumice medium, and black gesso on clearance for $2-4! Those are usually in the $13-20 range! I’m looking forward to trying these out.
I went in mainly to inspect Liquitex iridescent medium in person…and as I’d suspected, it appeared to not be iridescent at all, but pearlescent. Which is very pretty but doesn’t get you the 1980s-rainbow-unicorn-magic feel. I have Liquitex “pearlescent medium” that I bought quite a while ago, and I think they just changed the name on the packaging?? Do any of you have the iridescent medium, and if so, am I wrong about it? (I’ve been researching options for iridescent and color-shifting finishes these past weeks)

What about interference medium? Also, Marabu makes an alcohol ink called
Rainbow that basically adds iridescent sparkle to alcohol inks…
