Lolol…here it is @photojenn! Prob buying this one…
I had a hard time in the doodle class doing words…also, in fodder class they had a lesson on writing and words…actually, that might be a sign that I need help in that area…hmmm…oh, what the heck…I can do words and flowers, right? ha ha…you guys are contributing to my continued education!
the word class doesn’t interest me but if y’all are all going to work through a class I may re-do one of the previous classes I bought
Looks fun but I’m going to skip this one. I want to work on my lettering and have been looking at Joanne Sharp’s classes, I’ll probably sign up Find Your Font or Draw Your Awesome Letters soon.
That’s a good idea! I think I have 3-4 of her classes and I’m about half way through each one.
Oh I need to work on my lettering
I did her petit journal fully. and most of the recycle journal but dont think I ever did the nature journal class I bought.
This is exactly why I want to sign up. I need to work on lettering. And the price point is right up my alley. I don’t know that it will really help me develop a lettering style, but the practice alone will likely help.
PS - I already bought it, lol.
Ooo, let me know if it really helps. My lettering leaves something to be desired.
You guys are the worst….I mean best. I need to work on lettering.
I’ll be interested to hear how much of the class is on lettering vs filling space with words.
I’ll be reporting in, no worries!!
I honestly don’t think it will be much lettering tutorials, so to speak. From what I’ve read that just comes from practice, practice, practice. I don’t have the patience for it and it shows. But I hope the class will at least force me to practice a bit, even if some of it is messy words as abstract art.
Same here
I needed to heart this post more than once!
I am so far behind but trying to make my way through still. Skipped lesson 7 and 8 because they didn’t interest me and I’ve decided to only do the ones I really want to.
Day 9 - Scribbles
Day 10 - Swirly Lines
Day 26 - Divide the Surface (just had to do this now, it’s a postcard)
I really love your swirly lines one
Both of those look interesting, pricey for a Canadian at $47 after conversion, but I’ll probably splurge on one.
What @PrincessP said! Those swirly lines!
I love your doodle style, too!
I’m thinking I’ll probably do Find Your Font first, I think it’s more about the actual letters and pens. The other one looks more like doodling in block letters which I like but I think the other one would be a better precursor for me.
Which one looks interesting to you? She has a bunch of classes, some for $16 USD, but I think these are the main lettering ones.
Master Sheet from Lesson1…going to cut them up now while Lesson2 is drying!
@Cindy Your line work is so neat and just hypnotizing…looks like doing them would be very relaxing! I love the divide the space one…
