I took typing in high school. It helped me earn money at college when I typed papers. It also got me my first job in computers…you had to be a fast keyboard typist to code over and over. Now, I can spend more time writing…it is like riding a bicycle…you just need patience and to slow down, which I can now!
Beautiful examples of calligraphy.
Awesome!!
I am loving the class…thank you! I took my journal to surgery with me to keep me calm.
Love this. Hope everything went well!
I have done zero crafting on vacation. I realized crafting is a great stress reliever for me and it’s been amazingly absent this week!
Fluid acrylics for what purpose?
Same but I’ve done a little gel printing, making paper dolls, playing with watercolor, catching up on lessons/art classes, and finishing coffee sleeve books. Also reading and re-watching the Handmaid’s Tale in anticipation of Season 5 in September.
They are all great !
@geekgirl posted a free lesson in which the artist uses a lot of fluid acrylics. The black and white is useful for very thin lines and writing. Fluid acrylics are very expensive…about $8 per bottle. I made all six bottles for about $2.
I haven’t made my own fluid acrylics yet. I used acrylic inks when I did that class but those are pricey too so I will be trying this out as I use up my inks.
I am skipping around the flower lessons…this is #17, Drawing petal flowers…I drew the flowers first and then used watercolor pencil and water to fill in the background. I added the tiny flowers because I don’t like a lot of black spaces.
I purchased Journal Petite and Doodle Petite. Now I keep checking my email for access to the classes!
ETA: Starting with doodle petite.
Oh, some beautiful work!
My phone is on black and white mode for the night and they look beautiful in greyscale, I can tell you.
Wow, these are beautiful, especially the first two!
I am taking a few art lessons to understand and use greyscale. Thank you!
@Cindy – I am finding out that I like more detail and fussy lines than I do blobs and expressive painting. There are a few lessons on finger painting that I have skipped over because I have a hard time “letting go”…I don’t mind the lessons where you take the blobs and turn them into flowers with details. Learning what I like is part of why I am doing all of these. Thank you!
I started the Doodle Petite class!
I’m working with two tiny books, one is prepped with acrylic and one with watercolors. The water loosened the pages so that one is reinforced with washi and masking tape.
Anyway, here are some of my favorites so far
Lesson 1
Lesson 2
Lesson 3 I did not like enough to share
Lesson 4
Lesson 5 (my favorite so far!)
I think your lesson 4 turned out like lichen… It’s really cool!
