Initially I tried using the Ranger brand (Tim Holtz) I bought from Joann’s a long time ago - I didn’t get good results, though that could have easily been because I was still figuring things out. But then I bought Pinata brand alcohol inks off of amazon, including the important white ink. They have a much wider range of colors too.
