I read Pixie and Brutus with my kids and we love it.
The creator recently posted a challenge to “Draw Pixie and Brutus on an epic adventure!”:

It took me a second to see the shark! That’s my favorite part. I don’t know anything about them, but this is so much fun!

I’m not familiar with the source material, but this definitely made me laugh. The shark! All the individual bits. Rollicking fun!
