Phew! I’m glad it made it!
I looked out the front door and guess what? I received my package from @AIMR!
She went with the Japanese Wabi Sabi for her package. She explained it all in the note she sent - it’s the beauty in imperfection. I will definitely be framing this beautiful card:
And the bag with its goodies. Just look at that stitching!!!
Here’s the top open so you can see how it works.
Thank you so much, Linda! Now I just have to find the perfect thing to store in my bag.
It’s getting a bit harder to think of things to make since our swapping group seems to be shrinking to a group of die hards! I have had these little charm rice bags on my list forever, so it was a good time to finally make them…the stitching is my favorite part.
Glad you like it!
Those rice bags are
oh, @Abbeeroad , beautiful pkg! well done!
and @AIMR , your work is lovely as well – and is that Japanese candy I spy? mmmmm
and now, here’s my absolutely WONDERFUL pkg from the ever-so-creative @Magpie !!
thankyou thankyou THANK YOU!!!
I love each & every part of it & feel totally spoiled~
(My pics are not great, so feel free to share if you took better ones)
The card has on the front artwork made by @Edel & Magpie during Edel’s visit this summer, so that is very special (Edel also dyed the fabric used in the heart you’ll see on the mug rug!)
The handwritten letter is just so heartwarming – I must get better about writing real letters instead of just short note enclosures! You have inspired me
Also inside was a TON of tea! I’ve never had the chance to try David’s Tea, and I already had the rooibos this afternoon – yum! And I love the idea she mentioned in her letter about all of her partners having a virtual tea party together! What fun!
Now for the real goodies –
a fantastic mug rug with the quote: Open your heart & drink in this glorious day
Such a great reminder for me, and it pairs beautifully with the little lavender sachet quote = Start each day with a grateful heart!
Magpie, your sewing skills are just the best, and I’m sure you know how much I like the typed words on fabric (even though I haven’t gotten around to trying to do that – I guess I’m a bit scared of the process) Again, thank you SO MUCH!

Those rainbow hear mug rugs are just so pretty and uplifting. The stitching is fabulous. I also love that @magpie shared a bit of @edel’s talent with you…the card is fantastic and has so much texture!
I am playing catch up. Everything is just so wonderful and happy! Every time I look at the gallery it makes me smile.
I’m catching up too. Everybody has sent except for the package to @Smmarrt from @AIMR which is on hold until Susan gets home. Also my package from @kayrun is en-route.
Thank you all for a wonderful swap so far, this gallery is so amazing. I am not seeing all your projects posted as their own topics though, get on that my dear friends. Spread your sunshine everywhere!
Linda, your rice bags are in credible. Abbee, same for the patchwork, wow. The inspiration flags are incredible and I just love Susan’s stitched layered pieces. Everything is cheery, well done everybody!
I’ll be mailing out @Smmarrt 's package later today…she’ll probably get it while I am out of town, though, so I won’t know until I get back. I try not to get online when I am out visiting family and friends!
My lovely goodies from @kayrun arrived yesterday. I adore bunting & knit, which I sadly cannot do myself. This is going straight up in either my studio or our spare/yoga room where I have lots of colourful swap things on display.
My affirmations, all great reminders to meditate on.
Muuusshhhrrooooommmm!
The postit notes are so great, I didn’t mention but I really like those & use them for all sorts of things. & of course now I’ll have to finish my mugrug so I can enjoy this nice tea & think of friends from here :).
Thank you!
I love the idea of a positivity bunting!
yay! so glad it arrived safely
I had such fun knitting this up for you!
I thought maybe you could switch out affirmations from time to time~
thanks for being my swap partner!
I received from @AIMR while I was away.
(Insert card photo here) - I think I tucked it somewhere.
A crocheted heart and some ?
A lovely boro and sashiko-stitched bag. Oh what goodies can I keep in this?
And the yummy candy inside
Thanks so much Linda for your kindness and patience.
Thanks for a great swap everyone!
These boro bags are stupendous!
Are the circle things maybe meant to preserve small items, like pressed flowers? You could fold the tabs over and line up the circles? Just a guess…
lol the circle things are coin holders from the stuff I kept of my dad’s. He was an avid coin collector, but no one in the family wanted any of the coins or the supplies that came with collecting.
I sold the coin collection but kept some of the other things for crafting…I thought @Smmarrt might find a creative way to use them: The way it works is that you fold them and glue the two sides together so that the coin shows through on both sides…
I thought maybe small ATC coins or other art? ha ha I have a lot of them waiting for inspiration…
I thought so - couldn’t conjure up the name this morning. And they will make great windows or ‘specimen’ holders for sure.
@kayrun I love those affirmations!
That bag is marvelous & of course I love the heart.
Thank you everybody for another uplifting round of Positive Affirmations!
We’re in the car on the way to see old friends today. I’m drinking a flask of Breakfast in Paris tea, the flavour @kayrun introduced me to in this swap.
Seems like a good time to start another round so here we go:
Positive Affirmations R-4
I will never tire of sharing this little ray of sunshine with you lovely folks
