I ran across this easy foldable basket pattern when I was stalking for a basket swap. I had to try it. More fun when I found a size calculator on her Facebook.
So I practiced on a few layer cake pieces.

These are cute! I’m glad you gave us two pics because they are longer and more shallow than I thought. I like that size. Pretty fabric, especially the blue.
Way cute!! Thanks for the info!
Super cute baskets!
Cute! I made these for @jemimah for a Christmas swap.
Yes, they are narrower, but useful for things like floss, pencils, utensils, etc.
I also downloaded the calculator.
@gozer I think the second picture shows how they fold flat…that comes in handy for mailing!
I love them! I have small art supplies in them and they look so good on my studio shelf ![]()
Your ones turned out really cute @marionberries!
I want to try some deeper ones. I was using 10 inch squares which was limiting and going for a shallow candy or catch-all basket. They are amazingly quick.
I will make some for the Holiday Fair at church.
These are cute and this looks like a super versatile and useful pattern. THANKS for including the link!
Cute! Love the fabric for that blue one!
It’s black really. And thank you.
Even better. ![]()
Super cute and thanks for the tutorial link!
And two more. All from 10 inch squares. Cutoffs used for handles. I will be making larger ones, but these are fun.
First set sizes were 4 x 4 x 2 and 4.25 x 4.25 x 2 inches.
New ones are 3 x 3 x 3 and 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.75 inches.

Thank you.
These are awesome, yours look lovely and thank you for sharing the pattern. This could be a great make for work - we hot desk so can’t have any permanent storage, but my desk gets very chaotic over the day ![]()
And I’ve made my first one. It was great fun and straightforward. Took me about 40 min before work, but I’m not the quickest person.
I cut my interfacing 3/4” smaller all round which made it easy to press the hems and sew the seams as I could use it as a guide
Adorable! I love the polka dots and dark fabric combo. Sweet.
Cute!
The tip to reduce the interfacing is a good one! Thanks.
