Wait…didn’t you start this in the morning!!! You did all that already? WOW!
I would use black binding, only because I think it will highlight the modular pieces in the body of the quilt. Again, wow!

I started this about 3. It was a pretty quick work up. Finished at about 6.30
Beautiful!
Hmm as I look at it now. I feel the bottom section needs to move to the left a bit, so that the linking lines aren’t in a straight line. What do you think?
It’s hard to tell with the way it is being held. But it might be a good idea. A little off always looks odd and not intentional, where a distinctive off-set would look like you planned it. And the things you see when it’s all put together. I have a lap quilt with one awkward piece and it always bothers me. Minor things I can ignore, but this jumps at me and no one else notices!
I’m so happy to see that you’re at it again! I agree with @marionberries statement. If you’ve already noticed it, you’re better off changing it now before you finish up the entire quilt and continue to notice it.
@AudiobookLover and @marionberries, I think you’re right! If I square as I go, I can check that off immediately. Plus, I can start joining the row blocks as I go. Thanks for the input!
@Edel, I agree that black would look better for the binding. And, offsetting it a smidgen would fit with the irregularity of the pieced blue sections. It’s a very striking quilt!
About to dive back into squaring up HST’s. Hope to have progress pictures for you guys soon.
I’m debating on whether I should add a 4.5” or a 5” border to my quilt and laughing at myself for debating over something so minor . Once I add the border, I just need to piece the backing, then it’s off to the quilter, who called earlier today to say my other two quilts are complete and ready for pickup!
Split the difference and do 4.75"! Nah, in all seriousness, unless you are interested in a specific size, I would tend to go for 5" only because for me it is easier to not make mistakes with when measuring.
I finished squaring my 104 HST’s and started stitching blocks today! Here are my large arrow blocks.
And I started pairing up the 52 small arrow sets.
Yeah, and if you cut too much border, 5” is a more useful size for scrap usage.
Thanks, @Lynx & @MistressJennie. I ended up going with the 5”. MistressJennie, that’s a good tip on the 5 inch scraps being a more useful size. I hadn’t even thought of that!
Jennie, I’m really liking those quilt blocks and the color combos!
I think black border too. It will tie the pieced blocks and background together.
The colors you picked make it feel more tropical leaf! Just gorgeous!
I’m in love with your fabrics, but especially the one that looks like granny squares. I’ve never seen a fabric pattern like that, how cool!
@AIMR I wanted to stay in my BOM color range and…it’s not really fall yet so we got a turning leaf!
@photojenn, which one looks like granny squares? I have so much random fabric and fat quarters, who knows where it came from.
Very nice theme interpretation
(A bit late…, but:)
@tendstowardschaos, I LOVE your quilt!
Both the front and the back.
