Quilt from 2 stashes (safes)

It’s called a safe now.
Brown and blue prints from my stash and some from my paternal grandmothers. Grandma’s print is the brown and honey gold paisley and was the inspiration. She passed away a few years ago and only a few people knew I was given her fabric. My parents love it!

So welcoming and cozy looking! I love that you made it by merging your stash with your grandmother’s.

What a lovely collaboration between stashes!

Thank you! The quilt is made from remnants of projects made for them and other family that make them ask didn’t you make my such and such from this? I added Grandma’s fabric to feel connected. This quilt has surfaced a lot of good memories.

I love everything about this, especially all the feels!

It looks fantastic. the colors go well together and it is so sweet that you used her fabrics.

Thanks. I had forgotten how many steps there are in making a quilt but just keep working hoping it would turn out. I intended to hit them right in the feels but, in a nice way.

:blossom: :herb: :tulip: Congratulations! Your awesome painting is a Featured Project this week! :tulip: :herb: :blossom:

Gorgeous! I love the pops of blue in the brown squares; they go so well with the all blue ones.

Thank you! I sorted into a browner stack and a bluer stack. Then I alternated between them- the whole time totally ignoring what the actual print was.
