If it’s a big enough bag & you feel up to the challenge, I’m pretty sure quilting could be done after it’s all assembled. That way it would still be fully reversable! Best of luck, looking forward to seeing what you come up with for that awesome quilt you’ve been working on! Or, quilts, since there are two.

Thank you! I’m really looking forward to completing them!
I marionberries, offer Year in Color for November’s prompt for more than 3 hours of quilting. I worked on this over the weekend, pushing to get the back done, sandwiched, quilted, and bound. I am donating to our church’s Artisan Craft Fair held on Nov 18 & 19. It will likely be in with some of the featured items donated for Friday Night Specials, or maybe the silent auction. The quilt measures about 45 x 60.
You did it! It looks great…love all the color…this is a very cheerful quilt!
Love the rainbow backing as well…I know it will go to a good home!
So awesome, the vibrancy is incredible!
I like the swirl pattern that you quilted. Did you do one large swirl and then go back in and do a second pass inside the first?
Yes, i did. I made the first swirl in chalk and it was too wide, so I adjusted and did another inside that. And then because I can’t seem to either sew a straight line or a nice smooth curved line, I do the wiggly-waggly version hoping it will look intentional! I don’t like a close quilting pattern, I feel it flattens the quilt and you lose that warm, slightly fluffy feeling.
The quilt measures about 45 x 60.
And I always underprice. It isn’t a big ticket item event, everything is underpriced and we still make money. Knitted and sewed items, book sale, used jewelry sale, wood crafts, Christmas ornaments and deco items, tag sale, yummy goodies, and a nice specialty shop that sells pottery, mosaics, and things like that.
So suggestions on price range?
Happy birthday @marionberries!! I hope you have a wonderful day today!
I have no idea on pricing, but I hope the event goes really well. It sounds like a really nice fundraiser with a large variety of offerings!
Happy B’day, you crafty genius!
Oh my gosh I love that!! And I have a bunch of fabrics from Franklin just itching to be turned into something…though I’m realizing I am not good at rounding out my stash with neutrals.
I love it! I have so many small scraps of batiks that I might be able to squeeze a couple of blocks out of them! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
That’s a gorgeous block!
I, Abbeeroad submit my late July BOM:
Hopefully playing a bit of catch-up here at the end of the year!
ETA: photo’s sideways but I don’t think it matters, lol.
I love the colors and the fabrics. Beautiful.
It’s leaning on December and I was wondering if we were going to do another BOM Quiltalong. And if so, how we could mix it up. No suggestions yet. I must be feeling a need for another quilt even though I have one to finish and December BOM to complete and …
@marionberries, as I look toward next year’s quiltalong, I’ve been wondering the same thing.
So, how does everyone feel about the BOMs, is it something you all would like to continue with next year? Would you all prefer to do something different? Does anyone have ideas on how to mix it up?
Paper piecing, applique, templates, like hexies. Stash only projects.
I personally love the BOM’s. I’d love to expand my skill set in the coming year, but I’d be afraid if we went too far away from that, some folks might not keep participating. For example, if we decided we were going to do ALL paper pieced blocks next year, I might not try to do them. I think paper piecing is neat, and I’d be willing to try a block like that, but I’m ultimately uninterested in it for a whole year. So if we were to do some greater challenges with our BOMs, or were to focus on things like templates (which might cost folks money, and some might not have it to spend), perhaps we could offer a simple traditional quilt block as an alternative for those people.
For example, if the BOM was a fancy paper pieced leaf block, we could also offer a simple traditional leaf block.
I was thinking rhe same thing, more than one option each month.
