Quiltalong - 2024

I’m leaning towards the two swirls near the center with the larger squares roughly diagonal across the quilt. This would give a vague impression of the milkyway.

I like it! Just a few changes really made a difference! The “flow” is good…and I like the Milky Way feel!

So many gorgeous star blocks, @marionberries! It’s going to be a beautiful quilt.

Now that I’ve gotten my paper crafting stuff picked up, I can work on the quilt WIPs that have been piling up. I got the last layer on the economy blocks for one of the I-Spy quilts. This is what the final layout will look like:

They are all works of art! I love the scrappy stars. The black really pops those bright colors!

Ooh, I love a good quilt photo! They all look great, but I have to agree with Magpie - that first is my fave too.

The first two are absolute stunners, and I love the graphic quality of the unicorn and rainbow & clouds. All are fantastic!

Thanks sweetie, it’s a lovely graphic print, reminds me a lot of the designs of Orla Kelly an Irish designer(not of quilts!)

All beautiful, but that first one is just stunning! Does it have a pattern?

Meh, this scrappy flimsy is done. I don’t like it, it’s too lairy and disjointed (I taught @Magpie that word when she was here). The baby is destined for, is a tranquil soul, so this might be responsible for turning into a manic toddler.

I’m going to visit a friend of Friday and we’re going to see if we can get her long armer working, so this will be a good trial. If I screw it all up, I won’t be devastated.

Just had to look up ‘lairy’. Not sure I agree with your assessment of the quilt top, but I’m also not sure I get the definition of the word either… :joy:

I think it’s a very Edel-esque quilt, even if I’ve never seen you make this pattern before. If I had been show it, and asked to guess who here on the Quiltalong made it, I would have said you my dear.
