Little update… Cunningham Children’s Home is giving folks a second chance to take home the quilts that didn’t sell at this year’s Festival. I saw it come up on my Facebook Feed this morning, and decided to check it out. Turns out, one of mine didn’t sell after all. (I was relying on the word of the over-worked woman running the Festival, and the fact that it wasn’t anywhere to be seen seemed to confirm that.) The Diamond in the Scraps quilt is on sale for $125, and all sales are for local pickup only. If anyone wants the quilt, and buys it from the charity, I would be happy to pick it up and ship it to you, with the shipping on me.
To be fair, if anyone wants one of the other quilts that are for sale, I would also be willing to pick that up for you, and ship it, if I was reimbursed on shipping for those ones.
I, EclecticDreamer, have completed my Quarter 2 Challenge: Finish something on my to-do list for 6 months or longer. It’s also from a kit. I’ve had it for almost 2 years; i’d actually forgotten all about it until i stumbled across it a few weeks ago.
The kit was put together by my quilt guild of member made churn dash blocks, heart blocks put together by charity committee, and all the WOF strips and instructions provided.
It’s also one of my Q2 goals completed. Breast cancer charity quilt.
I guess the project on my to do list is to make something with the blue and yellow charm pack squares I bought in about 2010 ,joined into strips, then did nothing with. Not too sure what quilt goodness they will become.
complete the Just Get It Done Quilts Block of the Month blocks for April and May during that month, and try to do the same for June (June is a very busy time at work and life goes out the window)
make a quilty gift for one of my two best friends birthdays which are in late June/early July.
It’s so cute, isn’t it. I was so happy when I learned HSTs last month cos then I could make the cats block.
A YouTuber I like has 15 cats, and my ridiculous brain wants to make a mini wall quilt for him with the right colours for his cats. But realistic me knows I have precisely zero time!

Lovely rainbow quilt!
Also, your peeping cat blocks is adorable! Thanks for sharing the pattern link! We have three black cats so I am always looking for patterns!
This is so lovely, it feels like they’re all happy in mosaic pools.
Yesterday I said I wanted to make at least one wonky house block. Today I was in need of some fun, so I made this. First improv block. It’s about 14" wide.

I love wonky house blocks and you have taken it up a notch by fussy cutting the cute panda into the doorway! That and the cats in the window!! Nice job!
@EclecticDreamer, you are just flying through your goals! That turtle quilt looks like a great pattern for showcasing prints. Your blues all work really well together and give the quilt a calm vibe. I like how the turtles add splashes of green here and there!
@LittleCogs, those are both great patterns! The cat block would make for a fun wall quilt. Your wonky hose quilt came out great! I love the little panda in the doorway!
Thank you lovely humans. I can take no credit for the idea to fussy cut the critters in the door and windows; that idea came from Pin Cut Sew. But I’m happy with the choices of cats and pandas.
Today I learned to make Flying Geese. I’m part way through a one at a time flying geese block, and this is the one I did with the 4 at a time method.
This is one of my current favourite quilt patterns. Wanderers wife. I have the pattern, but honestly it’s really intimidating(and not especially well written) so I’ve been putting off starting, but doing at least one block is on my quilty goals list.
