Nice! I am also going to do that version but I was wondering what it would look like with all different fabrics!

I’ll still do my blue and white but with all different ones! I love the vintage feel of your block!

I was actually going to tweak this pattern to make a flower but forgot my idea the moment i started. Realized my oops, then just went with it.

The lemons are amazing.

Yesterday I finally finished the quilting on the dungeon map sandwiches. It took forever! Give me free motion stippling over walking foot wall following any day.

Now I’m attempting to bind both, so Jim can get them as part of his Anniversary gift this year.

…but it looks great! I think the choice of quilting pattern fits perfectly into the theme!

Oh these are amazing, I would love to see the finished project.

I have to share somewhere. My 3.25" block… i decided last year to do Pat Sloan’s Ode to National Parks quiltalong (eventually) but resized to use up my 1 1/2" HST left over from cutting bits from other projects.

Most are not turning out. Forgot I hadn’t trimmed all the HST yet, plus so small, and decided I didn’t care enough to fix them so… it’s a free-for-all. Anyhow… THIS one turned out perfect!

@AIMR, I love the lemon embroidery! What a fun and pretty pouch!

@MistressJennie, I can only imagine how time consuming that quilting was, but it came out amazing!!

@EclecticDreamer, yay for the perfect block!

Small quilting is still quilting! Two sets of coasters done! First set is made from scraps; second set was from a fat quarter I got at Joann on clearance.

Argh, I am missing sewing. I’ve been painting and framing to get two pictures ready for a group exhibition on Friday and been away, and going again on Sunday, my poor machine is feeling very neglected.

So cute. I love mini projects to keep the mojo going. I do want the cat ones though.

Small quilting is also satisfying! It’s nice to have those quick finishes.

Quarter 2 Challenge
(April 1 - June 30)
Tackle a project that has been on your “To-Do List” for at least 6 months.
We all have those projects that we’ve considered making, but just haven’t gotten around to yet. Or, maybe you have already managed to start it. Either way, if you have had a project on either your mental or written to-do list, and it’s been on said list for at least 6 months, it qualifies for this challenge. Now’s the time to complete that project and check it off your list!

Goal List:
Feel free to add any additional goals to your goal list, or if you haven’t already, you can still share your second quarter goals with us. You can earn a point for every goal you share and complete!

The quilt blocks this year are so pretty! Some are quite challenging, but I just love how most are not stars this year!

I, AIMR, submit these quilted placemats as both a 2nd quarter medium challenge and a personal goal. I have promised my sister for almost two years now to make her some placemats for her home in Florida. She is there over the Christmas holidays and entertains a lot so I made six of them. I made a set of matching coasters posted earlier.

I bought a layer cake for piecing and 3 yards of the main fabric for the backing. The binding fabric and sashing were in my solids stash. I can’t believe how much fabric I still have left over! It will be a bit before I want to see them again…I really dislike repetitive patterns/makes!

I can now cross of a Bingo square and my WIPGO square!(as well as a forever on my to-do list line!)

Nice!! I love that they are festive (I spotted some holly) but are neutral enough to use year round, not just for Christmas.

@AIMR very fresh and pretty.
I also do not like repetitive things. That’s why I like the BOMs or random blocks. And I don’t think I could ever make more than a lap quilt.
But placemats are fun and doable
