There is no rush on bingo, you do your stuff and we’ll be here when you get back.
I did terribly on bingo this quarter, I’ve only 6 squares in each filled in, but it was busy.

Prioritise your rest time; you work really hard for us. We aren’t going to suffer for not having bingo calls till mid month, and we can use the time to think of goals.

Wow, I got an amazing maker destructor prize from the amazing @AudiobookLover. I feel spoilt rotten and very cared about.
It was all wrapped up safely:
I sqee’d with pure delight when opening it.

There were these lovely stickers and a squidgy comfy seam ripper, which has immediately gone in my kit. I was only thinking the other day that I’ve owned my sewing machine for 22 years, perhaps it needs a sticker!
This card is stitched, and had such a lovely message 
There was also a little cartoon which made my partner and I laugh. It was all in this cleverly folded fabric.

Shortly before I broke my wrist, I had agreed to teach a hand sewing class and an intro to quilting class, over at Allerton Park, in September and November. Allerton was a turn of the century mansion with beautiful grounds and gardens that is now owned by the university. They’ve added what they call a “Folk School”, which teaches crafts, foraging, storytelling, stargazing, etc. I’m not all better yet, but I seem well on the road to recovery, so I decided to try setting up a scrappy Mug Rug, as an example for the class. I ended up laying out 5 of them during nap time today. I’m hoping to try stitching them tomorrow.

I also received a lovely and unexpected package!
Funny story: I got scammed by a site that said they were a Joann’s closing site. I ordered and paid for about $40 worth of stuff. Once I figured out it was a scam, I contacted my credit card company. They removed the charge, but told me to keep a look out that MAYBE the goods would arrive. I got notified by the PO via informed delivery that I had a package from CA, which made sense since the goods were supposedly coming from China. I sort of felt bad that MAYBE it was my Joann order after all. I could not for the life of me what else it could be!
Well, the package from @AudiobookLover was even better and so I thank you so much for keeping track of my points for me and including me in this group! YAY!

I’m so excited about these little Mug Rug tops! A great deal more excited than I normally would be for such a small project. All the squares were from my 2.5” squares bin, so I didn’t even do any cutting. Just laid them out and fed them through the machine. But I freaking MADE something for the first time in ages! Whoo hoo!

I got all five quilted, and found binding for them in my scrap binding bin. The first one I did is a bit wonky, but I got better by the second one. I still feel like overall it’s not bad for having a broken wrist and being stuck in a splint.

I am back (and now have a bunch of unpacking and putting away to do). I’m glad everyone enjoyed the prize packs, I had fun making them!
I’ve got a semi-busy week ahead, which includes returning to the apartment. I will work on getting this quarter’s Bingo game up and running once I get back there.
@MistressJennie, your mug rugs are looking good! Yay for crafting again!

I am working on my quilt. It is a complete mess, but somehow I am okay with that. i wanted to do a roaming-type quilting, and I got this little board to do it with for Christmas, but it didn’t work well. So I decided to use straight lines, but what I did didn’t fit the quilt. There is a lot of stopping and starting all over it. But I am okay with it. Its for me and I am happy, even though it is taking forever now.
I also had some helpers.

This is my ambitious goal list for quarter 3:
- Finish my cat’s water bowl mats
- Finish my friend’s
- Cheshire Cat office quilt
- Try out Quilt as you go - semi , made some pieces, not used them in a project
- Make something with Ruby Star Society fabric
- Reorganise my Fat Quarter drawers
- Finish the last Just Get It Done Quilts BoM HST blocks
- Make the Just Get It Done Quilts BoM blocks for:
- Flying Geese
- QST
- Snowball
- Have a go at improv quilting
- Do a hand quilting project while on holiday
Not going to claim points for this as its a jolly, but - Attend The Festival Of Quilts
I’m very behind on the BoM, but I’ve had no brain at all. I’m hoping to find some brain, maybe it’s in my thread catcher

At last, it is here!! The 2025 3rd Quarter Quiltalong Bingo!! There’s more fun to be had with newly added prompts and a Bingo schedule that includes twice weekly calls for the rest of this month as well as next month! So get those Bingo cards generated and posted because our very first prompt will be announced momentarily!!
To play:
- Each Quiltalong member can play with up to 2 Bingo cards
- Generate your Bingo cards here
- Post your Bingo cards in a new thread once they’ve been created
- Bingo prompts must be completed during the third quarter (July 1 - September 30)
- Every quilter who gets a Bingo (5 marked squares in a row - across/down/ or diagonal) will get a prize at the end of the quarter
- The first quilter to get a Bingo will win an extra prize (so make sure to call out your Bingo as soon as you get it!)
- You can complete prompts before or after they are called, but you can only mark a prompt once it has been called
- Prompt schedule (starting today):
- Mondays and Wednesdays in July
- Mondays and Wednesdays in August
- Wednesdays in September

- Possibly add a zipper
