We had life drawing in college yesterday, and I find it tedious, so I brought my sewing machine in to do life drawing as free motion quilting. When I got there I found that my travel machine can’t lower the feed dogs, and I didn’t have a darning plate, or a darning foot, so i MC Gyvered one out of a coleslaw lid. The results are here in this post Life drawings
Today I decided to make them into a mini art quilt. I used always (and still) tell my mother when she retired, not too have any money left as an inheritance, but instead to mortgage the house and spend the money on gin and toy boys. So given it was a male model, I thought it appropriate advice. But while FM stitching (it’s hard!) I thought about what I would spend the money on instead as I’ve no interest in either gin or toyboys ![]()
This is it so far, I’m trying to decide now if to sandwich it. They are all puckery and wobbly, so it would have to be minimal stitching.
