Wide back fabric and 50% stash

Finally finished my beetle quilt. I’ll give it is own post. But here is a preview of the whole thing. All of the fabric is from bedsheets. It’s the only way I can get wider fabric. I dyed everything, and then used cyanotype to make the beetles. Everything was from stash, even the cyanotype-but I ran out and one beetle is from a friend’s cyanotype stash.

Edit: here’s the post for this quilt Beetle quilt

@AudiobookLover query, does a cyanotype fabric qualify as a non traditional quilt fabric?

The two half metres are from our most recent quilt group day, there is a fabric seller that comes to us twice a year. I couldn’t resist these (half metre was€8 each). The black and white is a temu jellyroll. This was €9 and the strips are 1meter long.

I tried to show you the density of the weave, in case you’re curious about temu quality. It is very starched to give it body, and it’s definitely less dense than the quilt shop fabric, but honestly it’s not bad. But I’ll make a quick top to see how it behaves.
