I’m in much the same boat as @marionberries, as last year was dominated by a remodel and I hope to get a bit of quilting (relatively speaking) done this year.

My bingo cards…

1st Quarter Goals:

  • Finish 3 in-progress quilts (gifts)
  • Finish red/white/blue star quilt

ETA: I reorganized my quilt WIPs, threads, and scraps this week, too!

-I MistressJennie , offer Winter Wall Quilt for January’s prompt
My little wall quilt uses 6 colorful batik prints. It’s also made from cool wintery colors, to cheer up my entryway in January.

Lol I feel the same way about my quilting fabric stash! I only have a relatively limited amount (one of those Ikea Kallax bins) but it feels like it’s neverending and I usually buy very little. Often just a bit of sashing or a half price pack of charm squares. It feels like almost everything I make is scrappy and/or from stash.

I have been a bit distracted by my baby quilt scraps. I had triangle cutoffs that I used for HSTs and then I made piles of pinwheels out of those. I have no plan yet but the bright colours look so nice. I need to get back to the main project this weekend. We’re fast approaching the third trimester.

Oh, and I looked up my BOM blocks. It looks like I finished exactly one  I think January 2021. It’s a star block too, even if my fabric choices make it look like a cross.

I’m pretty sure it’s from Jan 2021 because I changed jobs early pandemic and for Christmas 2020 I got an unexpected generous giftcard from my new employer. It was the middle of lockdown, I had set up my quilting stuff on the dining table and spent my giftcard on quilting supplies. The fabrics were a bundle from a LQS that’s no longer around. Monika Forsberg prints and matching Grunge. I was shielding because I was in a high risk group so I couldn’t go out. I still love those prints and they deserve to be finished this year.

What about me making kits for someone else to use? I need to put together kits for my students for the QAYG potholder class I’m teaching in late spring.

@marionberries, I love your BOM so far!

@tendstowardschaos, good on you for your organization efforts!

That is awesome! And a unique situation in our group! I would vote that it counts…and when you post a kit, it would be nice to know what you included and how you put them together!

How are you feeling? Are you up to doing some sewing now? I know you must be missing so many crafts! Hope you will have some time and health to join in the fun! We miss seeing your projects!

Yes. Since your kits will be packaged and offered as a kit for a specific project, said kit will work for this prompt :slightly_smiling_face:.

I’m cutting fabric!! Woohoo. Doing the cutting for another wanderers wife block. Turns out I own a 7/8” ruler. I didn’t know such a thing existed, it’s a bonkers measurement (muttering in metric) I can’t remember buying it, but it was on my cutting bench exactly when I needed it.
