Thank you, @Immaculata and @MistressJennie! @Magpie, I tried using the fork trick, but I found that the part that is facing you when tying on the fork is the part that ends up becoming the back of the bow. I tried to get my brain to figure out how to reverse the process, but my brain would not cooperate 
, lol.

I’m cutting fabric for May’s BOM right now. I don’t have enough of my fabric for March’s Blazing star, and right now I don’t have the brainpower available to recalculate April’s Invigorate block to 12". I think instead of March’s BOM I will do two May varieties. I started the BOM with a pile of FQ but after several months there’s a lot less fabric left. The May blocks all use smaller bits of fabric that work better for what I have left.

The colours in my pictures are a little bit off, the teal is hard to capture in a picture. It’s Grunge in the colour Dynasty. The prints are all from the Savernake Road range by Monika Forsberg. This one might be my favourite BOM yet! I 
all those bold colours and prints. I picked them just for me.
Perfect blocks to show off those birds! All of them are vibrant and fun, but the birds…lovely!
I, EclecticDreamer, just made the May BOM, Pinwheel Star Block. This is also one of my Q2 goals.
I used the cutoff corners from April block. It’s 3” square, completed. It’s a little messed up but “finished" it. Due to not thinking things through enough I ironed the squares to wonder under (should’ve been iron on interfacing I think). I then ironed it to paper towel just so I could iron it… THEN decided to go ahead and sew a backing on. Instead of binding I buttonhole stitched around I’m going to find an awl, poke a hole in a corner, stitch around the hole and torn it into a keychain.
@Immaculata, I can’t wait to see your finished hexie quilt!! Congratulations on finishing a project that was ten years in the making! Don’t forget to enter it into the Great Wip Completion contest. Plus, it will definitely qualify as a large for either a personal finish or this quarter’s challenge!
Your BOMs are so bright and colorful - They are definitely going to make for a fun quilt!

I live in a small city, in the middle of Illinois farm country. Even “in the city”, the farming community is so important here, that there are corn and soybean fields in town. You’ll be driving down a wide 4-lane street, passing houses and businesses, only to have a corn field pop up, before going right on to an apartment complex. (It’s so important that the university built the Undergraduate library UNDER GROUND, so any potential shadows cast by the building wouldn’t fall onto the Morrow Plots, the longest continuing experimental agricultural fields in the country. There’s even a song about it.) Right now, everything here is GREEN. Green trees and grass, and green fields sprouting up in neat rows. In fact, the green stripe print reminded me of the rows the plants grow in. This bag went to Ada’s other teacher, who loves green.

I finally finished the last 3 pouches that I had started a while back. At the time, I finished 2 right away, but the other 3 lingered on my desk. I powered through them on Friday during Ada’s last day of school. I’m so glad to have them off my desk! The yellow one went to Ada’s teacher’s aid, and the rest are going into my gift stash, though Ada is trying to take the pink one. She loves pink, and the kitten on it.

I find myself posting pictures less these days because I can’t seem to post pics from my phone and I am too lazy to walk to the other room to turn on the computer. Typing is sure easier with a keyboard though!
I’ve been working on this bird quilt for a while, and I managed to add some sashing, and then ran out of fabric. It’s coming next week, so maybe I can get it done, and my DW can decorate her office with it. I like the green and I will add binding in a dk brown. I get excited at this point to see her done!
This looks so good! There’s so much to see and enjoy. Your wife is one lucky lady that she’ll be able to gaze upon this and enjoy the many beautiful details!

Nice job hitting all the P’s with your pink bag. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of how that X fabric would work for the prompt as well! Everything in your post is so colorful and fun and I really enjoyed learning about the Illinois farm country.
