Haven’t posted in a while because I have moved house and started a new job (which I have now resigned from lol) so bit hectic here but still had some time to do some sewing.
Finally: This is an Elizabeth Hartman pattern, its called Frances Firefly and its the small quilt size.
Fabric is Homecraft Textiles- Jelly roll is called Spring Blooms
This year I am counting completing the quilt top as one finished project and finishing the quilting and binding as a second finished project and it has removed a lot of pressure.
These are absolutely stunning. I love Boldy. It is amazing what you can do with basic solids and create such a dynamic piece. The gemstone is very pretty with a sweet, serene palette. The fireflies are wonderful. I tend to love the more modern quilts, and this one is so pretty.
I count this as a finished project. Can’t wait to see them when Phase 2 is complete!
Sent the firefly quilt off to a longarmer to finish (first time I have done paid to get it professional done, normally I just do straight lines myself) Here are the final pictures
I have been trying to work on my binding skills and I am soooo impressed with my binding this time- I did a lot of research to find out how to get better at it and I used some glue and my iron to get some crisper corners and I am sooooo happy with the outcome.
