Roasted Chickpeas

I cooked a lot yesterday… hence all the food posts lol

mmmm… these are great as a snack any time of day. We ate it as a side dish with our lunch today.

I made these from dry; I find they get a better crunch than when I use the canned stuff.

First, I soaked the chickpeas overnight:

Then I rinsed them off and added olive oil and spices as shown below:

I can’t give quantities, because when I cook, I measure with my heart :slight_smile:

Then I roasted them in the oven for 10 minutes at 425 F, flipped them over, and roasted for another 10 minutes. Delciious.

Oh I love roasted chickpeas. I’ve only made them from canned chickpeas so far, because it’s so convenient to open a can, throw everything together and put it in the oven.

But if the dried ones turn out crunchier I buy some next time I hit the store.
