Rose Brooch

This is a rose brooch that I made as a kind of experiment, and so that I could finally put more of my brass stampings to use. I’ve had this brass stamping in my stash for more about a decade and had always planned to us it to make a rose - I just never quite got around to it.

It’s always nice when something turns out exactly how I thought I would.

It’s a simple piece; really only one flower - but it took me some time to put it together because I was trying to shape the petals as I placed them instead of afterwards.

The pink contrasted with the gold stem is gorgeous!

Cool!!! How did you make the rose stem?! It looks so good. Stamping? I’ve never heard of stamping metal where it cuts it out.

It’s a piece of stamped brass. :3 I purchased it from a jewelry findings store on eBay I think, a decade ago. It is cut off too, it’s the stem only, which was kind of neat.
