Our Garden Runneth Over Round-up - August 2026

Did you know that Lettuce Craft hides a secret? A secret GARDEN right here on the web! Don’t believe me? Well step this way, and I’ll show you how to unlock the magic…

@Racky hid the door for us. Where else would she hide it, than in one of her amazing altered tins!

@pottermouth really came through for us when she set up an epic potting shed. She also cast a protection spell, so all of us can enjoy the garden without the pollen! My allergies thank you pottermouth!

The roses are coming along nicely. In face, @appledainty has managed to turn them into some beautiful Rose Brooches so we can enjoy them all year.

Some of our flowers are pretty big. @Myruka has managed to preserve and miniaturize the Sunflowers so members can take them wherever they go.

We actually have so many flowers here, we weren’t sure what to do with them all. Thankfully @susieoregon had the brilliant idea of making May Day Arrangements for our neighbors. She’s amazing; spreading love and joy all around us.

A little further along @Silky_Bee put together some lovely Raised Garden Beds for us! Everyone’s backs thank you Silk_bee.

Let’s see what’s in those raised beds… Oh my! This time of year our garden runneth over!
:tomato: :cucumber: :onion: :root_vegetable: :bell_pepper: :brown_mushroom: :hot_pepper: :leafy_green: :watermelon: :olive: :tomato: :cucumber: :onion: :root_vegetable: :bell_pepper: :brown_mushroom: :hot_pepper: :leafy_green: :watermelon: :olive: :tomato: :cucumber: :onion: :root_vegetable: :bell_pepper: :brown_mushroom: :hot_pepper: :leafy_green: :watermelon: :olive: :tomato: :cucumber: :onion: :root_vegetable: :bell_pepper: :brown_mushroom: :hot_pepper: :leafy_green: :watermelon: :olive:

First we have the Tomato Plants…
:tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato: :tomato:

@MamaRhi set about preserving some of the earliest tomatoes with her beautiful watercolor.

@TheMistressT has never bumped into something she couldn’t turn into an amazing greeting card, and the tomatoes are no exception. She’s even managed to store pins in them!

:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

The first of our carrots have come in. @sweets4ever has shared her recipe for Spiced Roasted Carrots to help us use them all up.

And not to be outdone, @Magpie figured out a way to transfigure several bunches of them into Carrot Treat Bags!

Next up is the Pepper Patch…
:hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper: :hot_pepper:

Our peppers are going absolutely wild! Fortunately @graverobbergirl and @wittychild are both on top of it. Graverobbergirl whipped up tons of Pickled Habaneros and Pepper Jelly.

And @wittychild made some amazing Peach and Pepper Jam.

Those pepper jellies will be perfect over crackers and cream cheese during Happy Hour later. Since the berry patch is exploding, maybe we can get @saintcady to bring out some of her beautiful Blackberry Vodka to serve with it. I bet it would be beautiful in tiny cordial glasses.

Oh goodness! The bugs are back in our herb garden! We’ll have to ask @PerfectlyBohemian to transfigure them into more of her Garden Cocktail Picks. Between saintcady’s Blackberry Vodka and Boho’s cocktails, our Happy Hour should be very happy indeed!

Personally, I’ve been tending to the beets. We’ve had some beautiful ruby red ones come in. I think I’ll turn them into a Roasted Beet & Watermelon Salad tonight, with with fresh mint, pecans and crumbled goat cheese.

And after dinner in the garden, we’ll need dessert! Perhaps some of @CatwithSevenToes
Chocolate Zucchini Cake.

Of course the garden is also home to some lovely friends, like our resident Bumblebees. @AudiobookLover has immortalized them with her Bumblebee Fabric Collage Cards.

And @artsycandice has saved a particularly chonky specimen, in her Chonky Bumblebee Painting.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your trip to our Secret Garden today. Be sure to craft something beautiful from our bounty, and share it here on Lettuce Craft!

We have such a bountiful and beautiful garden! Lettuce is just the beginning. Thanks for including my tomato pin cushion card! It’s a little bit ironic, because I abhor tomatoes! Well, raw ones. :face_with_peeking_eye:
