Sausage Cheese Slow-Cooker Dip

This cheese dip is a relic from just about every get-together I hosted in high school  .

“Recipe” is probably an overstatement for this.

  1. Brown and drain some sausage.
  2. Add to a slow cooker with some salsa and Velveeta.
  3. Heat until the cheese is melted and the dip is hot through.

That’s pretty much it. For my batch tonight I used 1/4 lb sausage, 1/2 cup salsa, and ~1/2 lb Aldi-brand Velveeta-type product in my lil dip slow cooker – on high because it was dinnertime and this was for dinner, but low would be fine if you have more lead time/patience. Those amounts are fairly arbitrary, though; adjust to your taste.

I normally have this as a dip with tortilla chips, but tonight I used it as a sauce for cheese fries.

Thanks for looking!

I used to make variations of this all the time for gatherings. Mostly using rotel instead of salsa. and sometimes using cream cheese instead of velveeta.

I think I need to make some soon.
