I think we all can relate :joy:

Ok, I’ve heard good things about cosclay, but I didn’t know it came in glowing blue!

I felt like I was writing that myself.
So many supplies for random projects, and every time I want to make something, I buy more.

Ooooh I’ve heard of cosclay before. I follow ā€œNorth of the Borderā€ on YouTube and Adam (owner of the channel) uses it fairly often. His videos are really fun to watch. I’ll look for one where he uses cosclay and link it.

I do this because i don’t have a dedicated craft spot so i buy, i use, i put somewhere… then can’t find anything. So buy more.

Judging by the swap thread, I suspect a lot of people will be playing with cosclay soon :joy:.

I’m looking forward to hearing how you like it and how it compares to other clays you’ve used!

I ordered a silcone mat & roller. I am so excited to experiment this weekend. If it doesn’t work out, it may break my heart. I have such high hopes for this to be fun.

I’m sure my aspirations are beyond my current skill level but I’m determined to have fun!

Slip is kind of hard to make.

I started my test sculpture. I used Sculpd. When i opened my sculpting drawer i had Nara & Premier in there. Sooo, now i have four kinds of air-dry clay. This better work out because i have a lot to use this year.

I’ve only worked with air dry clay once and it turned out ok. I’ve never worked with paper mache, so I guess I’ll stick with something I’ve had experience with in the past. Now to make a decision on what to make…

While drying last night it formed a few minor cracks. Im going to fill those today with the slip and start attempt #2.

I have the base and I am now adding some detail before I add another layer of paper mache. I need to figure out what to do with the hollow base. I think I want to fill it with something but nothing too heavy. Off to do some research…

Have you picked your subject yet? And How did you fair with Daylight Savings?

I have done two practice pieces. I am hoping one works out. I like it so far. It was so much fun to play with over the weekend.

I love this daylight savings! More light in the afternoon makes me feel amazing! My cats are a little confused with their feeding schedule, but they will get onboard. Also, I feel like I am getting off work early. Ha!

I made what is (probably) the Real Thing yesterday, so I guess that counts as picking a subject!

And my daughter had a girl scout lock-in at a local mall over the daylight savings night, which involved getting there at 10:30 & leaving at 5:30 am, so there was no way anybody was getting enough sleep this weekend. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Yes! I have my subject picked out. Probably going to start building one thing tomorrow.

I love daylight savings because it means more sunlight later in the evenings and walking the dog at night is much more pleasant!

I have the main thing I’m doing picked out, but not the theme.

I have several ideas floating around for the theme and I’m tempted to do one of my partner’s daughters themes since she likes anime like me lol

I started one piece but haven’t been able to get back to it yet thanks to working until 2am, hedgehog care, and having to pack up my mom’s bedroom and bathroom the last few days. She’s doing renovations.

I have definitely picked my subject.

I mostly survived DST. I kind of hate it because now I don’t ā€œwakeā€ the chickens up until 7 am and they go to bed an hour later. But mostly I dislike this type of change. It disrupts my routines.
