Some Bunny To Decorate The Tree

I made this ornament for @curiousfae in the ongoing ornament swap for her creatures that live in the woods theme.

I had a wood ornament base laying around so I went with that and for some inexplicable reason I decided it would be a good idea to paint my little woodland creature on vellum. Spoiler alert: it was not a good idea. I had to repaint a bunch of details after cutting out and glueing the bunny in place because acrylic paint and vellum really don’t like each other. I finished the ornament off with 2 layers of modge podge to protect everything.

No process pics, alas, for this one. I was too busy cursing at the vellum.

Ouch! It’s frustrating when the craft fights back. It looks lovely, though!

@Annchen & @TheMistressT - thank you!

@curiousfae - I wanted dimensionality. It has a bit but the grain of the wood is very prevalent so that combined with the vellum feels a touch more rustic than I was hoping for. I’m really glad you like it!

The little bunny is so cute! I love its expression. I want to snuggle it up and keep it warm.
